I can't find anything, what do I do???
When you are searching and you feel like you have tried everything, here are a few tips to help you find the information:
Use a General Database, such as EBSCO, ProQuest, or SIRS Researcher. These are good places to start until you can refine your search.
Vary your search terms. For example, if you are searching for a topic like "open lunch for high school seniors", you may have to try different search terms than "open lunch". You might try "open campus", "open-door lunch" or just "school lunch".
Don't be too specific. When you begin, start broad. As you find information, begin to narrow your results.
Allow the databases to help you. Many databases will provide you with ways to narrow your results. These are sometimes called "subject headings" and frequently will take you to more articles about your subject.
If you have tried all of the above and still can't find anything ask for the librarians for help!!!
