One is given a life, therefore one is given time. And with time, there lies opportunity. Time allows one to do what they desire, it lets one live. With the endless opportunities time proposes to each and every individual, time is able to heal, to make things right, to proffer more chances. I believe in the power of time, and I believe I was empowered with time to live again.
In the duration of a single minute, my heart had produced more than two hundred and eighty beats. On top of the surgical bed, doctors tried to correct a common heart condition I was diagnosed with, but in the end, I came out with a more defected heart than when I went in with. Because of this, I was told I may never be able to run again, a passion I held deep within my heart. This condition had held me back from doing what I loved, and I refused to let this statement affect me. Two years prior to my surgery, I jumped through hoops to run track and field. Though I struggled, I still came out on top. And now with the news of the failed surgery, I knew I would have to come out on top again.
Each day passed, the time built up, and so did my heart. As time passed by, I became stronger, my heart became more tenacious. And finally, with the right amount, time had healed my heart. I run stronger and more rapturously because I was allotted time. I was allotted time to live again, to live with my passion.
I also believe that time provides another chance. For me, it was being able to carry on with my passion in life. It allows one to become better and overcome difficulties just as I had. In instances of zeitgeist, time allows someone to fix their troubles. I believe that however much time is presented to one, it is the right amount to heal the most austere pain; it can soak it up and take the affliction away.
Time presented itself to me. I have the time to do what I love, and so does everyone else. It is the way it approaches you so that you realize the power of time. It is the time for you.
